Ashley guarantees you’ll walk away with the confidence to carry, wrap, and pose newborns—ready to start your journey as a newborn photographer.

She firmly believes that 80% of a successful shoot lies in handling the baby and only 20% in technical skills like lighting and angles. That’s why this workshop focuses on what truly matters—hands-on practice, baby safety, and real-world skills that set you apart.

What You’ll Learn

✨ The Essentials of a Successful Newborn Shoot

Understanding baby comfort and priorities during a shoot
Reading baby cues and ensuring safety

📸 Shoot Setup

Lighting, environment, and basic camera settings
How to plan for different props: crates, baskets, beanbags, etc.
Structuring a smooth shoot flow from start to finish

🍼 Hands-On Baby Handling

Live demonstration with at least 2 newborn models
Practice wrapping techniques (loads of hands-on!)
Posing techniques for both comfort and aesthetics
Handling awake babies confidently

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Portraits (if applicable)

Posing baby with parents and/or siblings
Composition techniques for heartwarming family shots

🎨 Post-Processing

Basic retouching: skin, tones, props cleanup, and overall polish

Workshop Requirements

Must have basic DSLR knowledge and prior shooting experience
This is not a beginner camera course
For Singapore photographers: open only to those not currently working in or owning a physical baby photography studio
International participants welcome
You’ll learn the foundational styling of baby sets — but it’s up to you to develop your unique style!

Workshop Fee: SGD$1,288 nett (for 2 pax) | SGD$1,088 (for 3 pax & above)
Deposit: SGD$100 per pax (non-refundable unless the workshop is cancelled)
Balance payment due 1 week before workshop date
